Ali S. Karakurum, MD, FACP, FACG Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Dr. Karakurum graduated from Ankara University Medical School located in Turkey in 1986. Completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastreoenterology Fellowship in 1994 at
Nassau University Medical Center located at East Meadow, NY where he remained as a teaching faculty member. After serving as Chief of Gastroenterology and Gastroenterology Fellowship Program Director, he pursued private practice in Port Jefferson, NY. He currently has admitting privileges at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, Saint Charles Hospital, and Nassau University Medical Center.
He is an Elected Fellow of the American
College of Gastroenterology, and American College of Physicians. He is also an active member of the Long Island Gastroenterology Association. He has been selected among America's Top Gastroenterologists by Consumers' Research Council of America and has been named a five-star physician by HealthGrades.
